Andrew Walker has been a fixture on the Hallmark Channel for as long as we can remember, bringing to life heartwarming, romantic, laugh-out-loud stories year after year—and this Christmas season is no different as he gears up to ring in the holidays with two new films: Jingle Bell Run, out November 16, and Three Wiser Men and a Boy, out November 23. Additionally, the 45-year-old Canadian Hallmark star has partnered with Envy Apples and is eager to share with the world his favorite dishes to indulge in during the holiday season. Here, Andrew Walker talks his new Hallmark movies, the holidays and his favorite apple-based dishes.
Andrew Walker talks new movies
In his upcoming film, Jingle Bell Run, a teacher played by Ashley Williams participates in a reality competition alongside a former pro hockey player after her sister signs her up. Though they butt heads at first, they soon realize their individual strengths work well together, and sparks might just start flying.

“Jingle Bell Run is the Amazing Race, basically, but Christmas,” Walker explains to Woman’s World. “It’s an ode to teachers, actually, this movie. It’s just kind of breaking out from your comfort zone, and teachers are so dedicated to the students and their time at school, but this movie is really about Ashley’s character kind of taking a step outside of her comfort zone, and doing something, challenging herself, and going after a dream or a goal that she never really thought that she could have the opportunity to do.”

He continued, “And then my character is an ex-NHL hockey player, who is just trying to hold on to the last bit of fame that he has, so completely different angle. And it’s just how these two characters kind of find commonality with each other.”
Andrew Walker reprises his ‘Three Wise Men and a Baby’ character
As for his next film, Andrew Walker will reprise his original part in the Hallmark hit, Three Wise Men and a Baby, alongside Tyler Hynes and Paul Campbell in the second installment, titled Three Wiser Men and a Boy. This time around, the baby is all grown up, now five years old, and the three brothers at the forefront of the film are up to their hilarious antics once again.

“What’s beautiful about it is that we all give each other the space to be our individual selves,” he said of working with Hynes and Campebll on these films. “You know, we’re so different in our natural ways of who we are, just our animalistic qualities of who we are, and so in the first Wise Men movie, it was the first scene that we shot—we knew that we had something potentially—but it was after the first scene that we shot that we looked to each other and we’re like, this is a lot of fun. We all support each other, you know?”

He continued, “There was a sense of home and familiarity and support and grace that we all gave each other, and we all had each other’s backs, and it’s really a special trio, to be honest. It’s like some of the best on-camera chemistry I’ve ever had with any actors.”
Andrew Walker dishes on the holidays
Being a husband and dad to two young boys, the holiday season is extra special and allows Walker to reflect on what’s important, especially in this season of life he’s in. “I think besides all the giving and receiving and magic of Christmas, it’s just dedicating time to be with your family, and it’s an excuse to just turn your phone off, turn everything off to the outside world, and just focus on your family unit and the center of your immediate family. And so I think that’s what I’m looking most forward to, is just cutting the outside world off and just being dedicated to my family.”
Another part of the season he enjoys is the delicious dishes that go hand-in-hand with this time of year, and what better focal-point for his holiday table than Envy Apples? For Walker and his wife, warm brie paired with the crisp freshness the fruit provides is a favorite of theirs.
“My wife, funny enough, we were Envy advocates and consumers before I was even part of the Envy team,” he shared, as the duo are the founders of the beloved Los Angeles juice company, Little West. “We would have warm brie cheese, and we would slice up Envy apples, and they’re the perfect pairing with the warm Brie cheese. The acid cuts through the fat of the cheese, and it’s just such a great pairing,” he said, explaining how this finger food makes a great appetizer as well as a dessert!

Though Walker has found major success on the network we’ve come to love him on, the accomplished actor is certainly not resting on his laurels. With his film premieres quickly approaching, he’s more than grateful for his ability to keep bringing films of this nature to life.
“You know, in this day and age right now, to be an actor, a working actor, is really an unlikely thing. Just to be working, I’m so blessed. I’m so grateful, and it’s such a privilege to be telling these stories that we get to tell on Hallmark.”
Don’t miss him in Jingle Bell Run on November 16 and Three Wiser Men and a Boy on November 23, only on Hallmark.
